The MiraMate Ray Gun is an effective and safe VUV Light device that provides all the benefits of VUV technology for skin conditions. Vacuum UV spectrum works great at eliminating pathogens such as viruses, bacteria and fungi on surfaces and skin. The Ray Gun has been shown to successfully remove mold spots on the walls and can also be used to disinfect plants.
UV light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength between 40 nm and 400 nm. UV light is divided into 4 categories – UVA (316 – 400 nm). UVB (280 – 315 nm), UVC (180 – 280 nm) and VUV (40 nm – 200 nm). Conventional germicidal UV Light uses 280 nm and is considered harmful to human skin. The Ray Gun has been developed to provide UV light in the spectrum of 221 – 223 nm which has been clinically proven to eliminate bacteria and viruses without any harm to the live skin cells below.
The Ray Gun VUV Light device uses a gas tube to produce the light therapy. Only a small amount of regular UV is produced and majority of the photon energy is absorbed by the dead skin cell layers, so it will not cause damage to human cells. The gas tube can be replaced easily and one tube should last for 500 hours.
It improves the apoptosis rate in its area of effect. Ozone and Nitric Oxide are created within the tissue, which clears many infections and malignant skin cells. Apoptosis maintains the balance of cells in the human body and is particularly important in the immune system. With regular use of VUV light therapy, it’s possible to enhance this rate substantially.
Ray Gun is very simple to apply. Just plug it in, place over the treatment area, and pull the trigger. A typical session of Ray Gun VUV light treatment would be about 5 minutes. You would apply the Ray Gun about 10 times per session and do 5 sessions in a day. This can be continued until the issue is resolved.
Everyone’s skin is different. We recommend starting slowly, to find optimum intensity levels. For the first day, we recommend to Ray Gun the VUV light only once at maximum power for each treatment area 3 to 5 times during the day. Then increase the number of times you Ray Gun per session if it suits you or decrease the intensity if your skin turns red.
There are three modes in Ray Gun: contact mode, angle mode and penetration mode.
